If you're looking for an AutoCAD-based application for structural drafting, check out CadPoint's StructuralCAD 2005. This application is far and away the best thing I've seen for doing real structural drafting in AutoCAD. In particular, it's an excellent replacement for (and far superior to) the old Softdesk structural drafting applications that Autodesk abandoned after acquiring Softdesk.
My Cadalyst magazine AutoCAD LT tutorials are back on the cadalyst.com Web site. Here's an index of the 20 tutorials. Cadalyst also has re-posted my Build Your CAD Standards feature article (from 1-Apr-2000). Thanks to those of you who requested that these articles be restored!
Do your drawings know their limits? If you're not sure, read my AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT tip of the week (month, year, millennium, whatever...), which contains my latest (and now very stale) diatribe on why you should set limits properly in every drawing.
